By your own analogy then it would be abuse by Russia to Ukraine. Ukraine would like to walk away but Russia has demanded commitment by grabbing them by the hair and pounding their fists in their face over and over. Domestic abusers like Russia don't just walk away, they are not talked out of it, they must be physically forced. Not sure if that was what you were going for but it makes more sense.
