No one is saying they don't want peace or that honest peace negotiations are unwelcome. They are telling you it is near impossible to negotiate peace with a violent attacker in the midst of the attack. They are also pointing out to you the many lessons of history where appeasing and rewarding a violent attacker does not lead to long-term peace. No one is imagining victorious Ukrainian troops marching through Red Square. The fact that you can't hear them is another matter.
