No TASS is a wholly owned government propaganda organization. It would be more like Voice of America. Whatever flaws the NYT or WP or other western media outlets have they are not the "equivalent" of TASS. During the current Ukrainian war TASS's "reporting" has been so ridiculous they have lost any small amount of credibility they had.
