This is more a narrative some women tell themselves, and each other and then hope to project onto men as they start to think about settling down than reality. I don't think it applies to real life nearly as much as they want it to. There are tons of men who are very fastidious about hygiene and household chores and many women who are complete slobs. There are lots of men who love being at home talking care of kids and the house and women who hate all that. There are lots of marriages where one person works long hours to make money and the other person does more of the homemaking. When women are young and youngish looking for a sexy "hot" guy to date I really don't think doing the dishes is very high on the list of requirements to be "hot", that comes later. These sexist tropes don't seem useful to me but whatever floats everyone's boat. Seb does sound pretty cool in what little we hear about him.
