This is one of the best pieces I've read on this topic. I think you are right. I have no idea what percentage of open marriages work but this one wasn't. He definitely didn't feel respected or supported inside or outside the marriage and he snapped. What I don't understand is why he didn't realize how unhappy he was years ago, get divorced, coparent with Jada as well as possible, and live his happy Hollywood actor life? That wouldn't have been that hard, he is rich, and it wouldn't have been that unique. Also if she didn't want to be married and her long time partner was so unhappy also why didn't she initiate a divorce? Again she is rich, it can't be that hard. I don't understand what exactly when on but I hope they both find peace.
