Unfortunately it wasn't a complete surprise to anyone who was paying attention. Putin and Russia are an aggressive military power. As for "unprovoked" what exactly do you mean? I would say it is completely unprovoked and with no justification. What is you justification for all the death and destruction? What "provocation" requires killing thousands of your neighbors including children. For me only a direct attack. For you? Please explain.
