We're not gorillas. I don't think the whole concept is that useful. How many situations in modern life is there really one "alpha" and everyone else is a "beta" following along? And when it does happen how long does it last? Sometimes you need to lead, sometimes you need to follow, and sometimes you need to go your own way. This black and white thinking is not useful. Lets just chuck out the whole framework. We are not gorillas.
